Inteplast was developed with a strong corporate commitment to preserving
the environment. Our products are designed to be produced at low gauges
and remain strong, minimizing waste and the quantity of raw materials
used in the production process. Additionally, we make all of our products
from polypropylene, polyethylene, or polyvinyl chloride, which are
chemically stable, non-leaching materials that will not affect groundwater
sources or create air pollution.
Recycling is an integral part of our environmental focus. All Inteplast
products are 100% recyclable, and all of our plants have reclaim
lines to reprocess internally generated scrap. This internally recycled
material is subsequently integrated into the manufacturing process.
Our facilities also have an on-site recycling plant that has the
capacity to recycle over 30 million pounds of post-consumer and
post-industrial plastic waste annually.
IBS Division is EPR accredited, which means that our company passed the industries’ “Seal of Approval”
for maintaining environmentally sensitive production facilities in the
following areas:
- Resin pallet control
- Water based ink
- Scrap Control
- Recycling Program and recycled material use
