REMINGTON, IN – AmTopp Stretch Films in Remington, IN, has donated $1,000 to the Remington Food Pantry as part of the Inteplast Cares program. AmTopp Stretch Films is an Inteplast Group company.
Inteplast Cares connects Inteplast Group’s manufacturing facilities with local agencies providing services to a variety of populations in surrounding neighborhoods and regions. Through Inteplast Cares, plants such as AmTopp’s Stretch Films can put service into action by partnering with organizations that support those in need of resources.
Scott King, plant manager at the plant, said he chose the Remington Food Pantry because of its outreach and impact throughout the town, which has a population of just under 1,500. He gave credit to Barb Federer, the pantry’s director, for her dedication.
“Every month, this food pantry helps hundreds of local people who need temporary assistance. Barb works countless hours on behalf of our local community, and we want to support her efforts. Not only does Barb oversee the local food pantry, but she also helps families all year long,” sad King.
King explained that each Christmas, Federer matches a family with the AmTopp Stretch Films plant, so that the staff can donate funds and items to support the family during the holiday season. “I am very thankful that Inteplast, as a generous company overall, is always looking for ways to support our local communities,” he said.
Federer said being selected was “an honor.”
“The donation we received will be put to good use helping those in our community that needs nutrition and food support. Thank you for selecting us!” said Federer.
