Inteplast Ranks Number One In North American Sheet Sales

Inteplast Ranks Number One In North American Sheet Sales

LIVINGSTON, NJ – September 21, 2016 – Just on the heels of Inteplast Group’s new 15,000-square-foot facility being built in Morristown, TN, and its acquisition of Brentwood, N.H.-based MTI Polyexe, Plastics News announced that the company is number one in sheet sales and number two in film among North American plastics manufacturers.

In the midst of celebrating its 25th year anniversary, things are busier than usual at Inteplast. Plastics News’ 2016 ranking yields another reason to be festive while considering the hard work of the Inteplast family that keeps the company grounded in its core values while sustaining significant sales across markets.

Group president Dr. John Young says, “Our stable growth over the years, as reflected by these publications, is the sum total of all the hard work and dedication represented by all our 7,300 colleagues. It is good to know that we are among the top suppliers in our respective industries, but personally I feel that it’s a lot more important that we can become ever better suppliers in the eyes of our customers, for whom we work so hard to achieve their confidence and trust. There are still endless improvements that we can carry out in the areas of quality, service, and delivery, and I know that our Inteplast colleagues share with me our collective and unwavering commitment to excellence.”

Inteplast Group takes a modest but practical view when reflecting on this annual ranking. To be first in the sale of sheets – the plastic used to make everything from campaign signs, produce boxes that help veggies to stay fresh, and even decking – means that Inteplast plays a big part in manufacturing everyday items that make life simpler for everyone.

Last year, Inteplast also topped the ranking for film and sheet at number two. On the Plastic News 2016 joint listing for film and sheets Inteplast, as it did last year, has sustained its runner-up position. In 2015 Inteplast placed first for highest increase of sales from 2014 to 2015.
